Mooi En Lief were kind enough to send me and my boyfriend away for a short holiday earlier last week to Weymouth! Its one of our favourite places to go on holiday as its really pretty there, there are so many cute pastel houses, I thought the pink buckle wellies would go really well with the seaside town! On the first day we went and walked along the beach, where we took these photos. It was a bit overcast but hey ho the English weather doesn't surprise me aha! Then I went paddling in the water, seeing as I had wellies on you kinda just have to make the most of being able to go in the water without getting wet!! I have more photos of this but I'm going to post them separately as they look super fab and deserve their own post! Afterwards we went and walked around the town and then had dinner at a pub which we always seem to end up going to, its called The Old Rooms and its right off the harbour so you can watch all the boats going past as you eat your meal or drink your wine or whatever you happen to be doing!

I love the lace up detail on the back of the wellies, its such a cute detail which I've never seen on other wellies before! I did forget to take a very crucial item with me which is the Style Kit which has super cute flowers to go around the edges of the wellies. I originally packed them into another suitcase which turned out to be to big so I repacked everything into a smaller suitcase and ended up leaving them behind, baaah! I'll be going on holiday with Jo soon so we are going to photograph them again (with the cute flower style kits finally) as I actually already have another pair of Mooi En Lief wellies (the Maria wellington boots) which, as they're blue, will suit Jo very well as everyone is aware she is the ice princess!

I think I've invested in quite a lot of pieces and I'm definitely building up a good collection! I will be rainbow girl!!! These ego sandals will definitely be worn a lot as I need some cute shoes to go with all my rainbow themed items!! Maybe I need rainbow hair to go with my new rainbow wardrobe....

VINTAGE DENIM JACKET:WE ARE COW

I've been wearing these shorts obsessively over the past few weeks, I found them in a charity shop although they're originally from Topshop. Usually I'm not too fond of Topshop shorts because the style I like the most doesn't even cover my bum. These however used to be turned up at the bottom and so I unpicked and unraveled them at the back and they now cover my butt cheeks rather than letting them hang out, praise the lord. I also got another sailor moon top yay, this time from Dolls Kill its a bit different from my other sailor moon crops as this one is fitted, my favourite kinda crop. Its actually Sailor Chibi Moon, shes pink like me aha!

I got this Lil Lamb bag from Irregular Choice, I think its out of stock in the pale colours unfortunately, but I have been using this every day for the past two weeks, you can actually fit so much stuff into it and it doesn't even look that big. The other day I managed to fit the my dslr camera, purse, diary and the Goblet of Fire into it. It is a bag truly worthy of the name!

TEZENIS COACHELLA FESTIVAL LOOK #TEZENISYOUNG

MAXI DRESS: TEZENIS (*ad)

Have you guys ever seen me wear a maxi dress? I'm not sure if I had ever even worn a maxi dress until I popped this one on for my Tezenis Coachella inspired look!

Tezenis gave me the task of styling up this dress for a festival look and I have to say I really love how it turned out! To start with I was kind of a bit like hmmm how am I going to make this look festival-y as I'm not really the sort of person who wears too many accessories, I'm more of a "throw all the weird clothes on at once and look like a rainbow" kinda gal, but styling this look made me realise that accessories are actually really important. I decided to wear my Nirvana hat for ultimate festival-yness, which I have renamed the "Jesse Pinkman" hat, as I've always thought it looks like the type of hat he wears. I also popped on a belt which is kinda falling apart but I really like the fact the backing is peeling off, it looks a bit rustic and also nips the dress in at the waist. Of course I had to pair it with my platform Dr Martens because what other shoes would I possibly wear to a festival? I also have this knitted bag with a ladybug on it. Because ladybugs (I know its lady birds but lady bug sounds so much cuter).

Since shooting this look I have been wearing this dress at least three times a week, especially in the hot weather. I only really wear it around the house as its super comfy so when I'm working its really easy to just throw on and go about my daily email replying, blog post writing and sandwich making and it just adds a floaty princess element to my daily life. Also every time I wear it I always get compliments, which makes me want to wear it more. I kinda wish I had a black one and a grey one to go with a few of my pink and pastel things. I'd probably style them with a fishnet top underneath or a small white crop top!

TEZENIS SUMMER LOOK #TEZENISYOUNG

DRESS: TEZENIS* (ad)

This look is the last of the Tezenis outfit collaborations that I've done, this particular outfit was for the Tezenis Young summer theme! Its actually the perfect weather for this outfit right now, its so nice and warm outside!! Of course I'm still wearing tights and socks, not that fishnets really keep the warm in aha, I mean they don't need to, really they're just for effect! Without them I feel as if my legs are rather exposed to the world or when I don't have long socks on covering the majority of my legs, I actually wore thigh high socks so much when I was in Weymouth that I got a slight tan on my thighs and the rest of my legs are still completely white, oops!

This is the dress which I was given to style up for the summer look, again like my previous Tezenis look, its a basic piece which can be styled in lots of different ways. Recently I've been really into the idea of more basic pieces of clothing, maybe its because I'm a bit older and I'm not so into being completely crazy, or maybe I've realised that less is more as long as you have a few extra crazy things to pair with the basic items, but I do really like this dress, it feels really well made and the fabric is really nice too. It reminds me of the expensive jersey I used to have to buy when I was at uni and we were doing our jersey fabric term. I decided to go with a black-white and purple theme. I had just purchased this lilac gym bag which I pretty much take everywhere with me always stuffed with extra clothes just incase I want to throw something on for a photo. When I was on holiday I filled it full of beachwear, beach towels and food for the beach and I think I'll take it to the park in the future with a picnic which makes it perfect to pair with this dress for summer!

The original plan was to go rock pooling, however when we discovered there wasn't much of interest in the rock pools, we decided to go for a little paddle in the sea! We wore our Mooi En Lief boots, jo of course wore the blue ones as she is the ice princess and I wore my pink ones with these cute little flowers attached to them which are also from Mooi! They're like flower headbands for your wellies!

We also made friends with two dogs who joined in with our photos, there were actually two westies but the one didn't want to get in the photo and then there was a huge chocolate labrador who kept staring at the camera like "what is happening, throw my ball."

LACE UP CROP TOP:TOPSHOP
SEQUIN MERMAID JEANS: TOPSHOP
PINK SOCKS: *WE LOVE COLOURS
GLITTER JELLIES: JUJU FOOTWEAR available @ TOPSHOP / OFFICE

As soon as I saw these jeans had come back into stock at Topshop I had to buy them immediately!! I've been searching for sequin mermaid jeans for so long and every time I came across some, they went out of stock before I could even add them to my basket! In real life, these jeans are extremely baggy and very short legged, so if you want the mom-jean type look, I'd advise going for a longer leg than usual and also a smaller waist, as I really don't think these are true to the waist size shown, I measured them and they're a 28" waist rather than a 26" which is quite disappointing. If the other sizes are the same cut, I'd advise sizing down on the waist measurement. Although perhaps they're meant to be worn on the hip? They are described as "boyfriend jeans" after all. I guess it depends on what kind of look you want. Aside from that, they are amazing!! I love the way they glitter in the sun, I might take them to a festival as I want to be a beautiful glittering festival butterfly!

I also got this lace up crop top, I was considering getting a size 6 but eventually went for a 4 as I wanted it to be super fitted, which it is, so I'm glad I went for the lower size. I think Topshop are doing that thing where they reassign sizes to smaller sizes to one day have the same sizing chart as the US. Or to make people feel better about what size they actually are, who knows. It kinda creeps me out that in a few years time there might be young teenage girls running around saying things like "I'm a size 0!!!" :/ They also do this top in lots of other colours, I think its one of their new basic ranges so I'll probably get lots of them as I love the fit and love the lace up detail!!!

Heres my outfit from Mondays shopping trip, I kinda just threw it on, I've not worn these jeans for ages, I forgot I thankfully do have one pair left that doesn't have a ripped knee, I was very emotional when my vintage calvin klein (very similar to these new calvin kleins) ripped a few weeks ago as they were one of my only pairs without rips aha. During my shopping trip I bought some new jelly shoes, skinny jeans, a candle and also an Attack on Titan card wallet to keep my oyster card in!!! Yay I finally have something AOT themed!! My face looks so smug in the second photo and I have no idea why but I'm gonna go ahead and call it my "yay shopping" face!

Next weekend I shall be heading off to the Lake District with CAT FOOTWEAR to Kendal Calling festival! I am so excited, I hope the weather is nice! Its set in a deer park in Penrith so I'm hoping it will be super cosy and comfy there with beautiful views so I can spend my day sitting around looking at the view and at night enjoying the campfire in a nice cosy blanket! I'm hoping these amazing CAT boots will serve me well over the weekend, hopefully they wont get too muddy although I think its going to rain beforehand so the prospect of them staying white throughout the entire trip seems bleak.

This for me is a very monochrome look, but its totally ok because have you seen this amazing Hello Margaret kimono/ duster coat? Every season they come out with some new designs and they just keep on getting better and better. This is my favourite from the current collection I think its super amazing, I can't wait to wear it at the festival and swoosh around like hehe I'm a witchy princess! I'm also wearing a lot of lace up in this outfit, I'm kind of obsessed with it, I especially love these shorts from Style Moi that I've been deliberating over getting for quite some time, they're a bit revealing but with the long kimono my bums hidden so I don't think its too much. I'm also wearing the lace up top I got from Topshop last week, its probably my new favourite basic item!!

I finally made a new youtube video about a few of my favourite items and also a few beauty items that I got recently! I really want to start making youtube videos more often and I managed to film and edit this in one day which is making me believe its actually possible! (all my previous videos have taken up to 13 hours to edit each, sigh) I find myself very cringey in videos but I guess confidence will eventually come with making these videos more often.. anyway, please do leave me any suggestions of what you'd like to see more of on my youtube!

I got this skirt the other day from Blitz Remix at Blitz London and I also came across these jelly shoes in Primark so obviously I thought they would go swimmingly well together! I mentioned them in my previous youtube video as I think they're really cool, I'm not sure if they're still in stock but if they are I'd definitely recommend getting your hands on them! They're very similar to the Unif platform jelly shoes, just less tall (yay actual walking!) and a fraction of the price. Not that I don't like the Unif versions, I just don't think I'd be able to walk in them haha!

Today I went on a shopping expedition to the charity shops! I wore my new Kurt Geiger shoes from Shoeaholics which are super cute and pointy, I always feel really posh when I wear these types of shoes and I think they go really well with biker jackets, kind of like this neoprene jacket from Local Heroes. I was considering wearing them with my black skinny jeans and black leather jacket but I thought that might be a little too dark for me haha, although I've spent all day listening to the three most recently released songs by Bullet for my Valentine which made me feel as if I should clad myself from head to toe in black and never turn back. Haha, such rhyming. So excited for BFMV's new album! We also got some cupcakes as you can see, I had the Strawberry Cheesecake cupcake and my Mom had the Vanilla cupcake, they were so good ahh!! A nice lady in Sue Ryder said she really loved my shoes so thank you!! Also a little girl told me she liked my hair and her Mom told her she could dye hers like mine when she was grown up, daww!

You can get 20% off at Shoeaholics until the 9th August with code KAYLASHOE20 which is rather fab! Also I just noticed the Gourmet Beef Burger sign in the background, which seems kinda amusing, is it suitable to use it as the title for the post??

KENDAL CALLING WITH CAT FOOTWEAR
CAT OFF-WHITE BOOTS
CAT FOOTWEAR RANGE @ ASOS

Over the weekend myself and my boyfriend went to Kendal Calling with Cat Footwear! Our initial thoughts were "oh its a bit muddy" which wasn't ideal but at least I had my CAT boots as they actually do what they say on the tin, which is protect one from glorious mud. Thankfully we were camping in the overflow field which was really nice and grassy and there was plenty of space for us to all set up tents, also the portaloos (for some reason, my brain seems to think that portaloos and mud are the most important aspects of a festival that I need to discuss with you guys) were actually compost toilets and they were so clean and spacious!!! You know when you go in a portaloo and you're scared of your elbows getting a disease? Well thankfully we didn't have that problem at Kendal, so yay!

Ok, portaloo and mud discussion over and moving onto the actual festival. When we arrived, there were golf buggys waiting to drive us to the camping area which was amazing! We had to put our luggage in a little tow truck and then we hopped aboard the buggy and it took us to wherever we wanted to go. I've never experienced that at a festival before, it was really helpful! Granted we didn't go far, but it was nice not to have to drag our luggage around the campsite! After we had set up our tent we went to explore and get some food and we also drank some Funkin Cocktails, (and we got some wellies for Ryan haha, thanks Oxfam!!!) we noticed very quickly that there was a random mini stage that just continually played Cher with one singular dude in the audience, all on his own. He just kept dancing to DO YOU BELIEVE IN LIFE AFTER LOVE DUN DUN DUN DUN which was absolutely hilarious (he was also there the second day lol). Now that I look at the website, I feel as if we couldn't find half the attractions that we wanted to go see, unfortunately there were no maps given out, I would have found it really helpful if there were. I really wanted to visit the late night cinema and sit around the campfire in the evenings but we couldn't find either of them so that was a bit of a let down, but we did have lots of fun at the mainstage and Ryan got to see some bands that he really liked (The Vaccines + The Horrors) so I think he enjoyed that!

The second day there was thankfully no rain and the sun came out in full force which was soo nice, I had decided to wear 10 layers into the arena as it was quite cold in the morning, so I was absolutely boiling by about 2pm but I gave my granny cardigan to Ryan who looked totally groovy wearing it hurhur. The mud dried up so I was over the moon!! We stayed at the mainstage for the majority of the day, we managed to get right to the front and take the first photo of this post, it was really pretty because the sun was shining right over the stage! We watched the The Horrors, I literally had no idea who they were but apparently Ryan loves them so we watched them and they were really good, the lead singer is hilarious, he has a very dry sense of humour. After The Horrors we got super hungry and went to get food, and we found a tent that had sofas and cheesy chips with bacon (omg heaven) so we just sat there for a while as it was extra comfy and then went to do a bit more exploring. Unfortunately then my phone died and my external charger decided it didn't want to charge my phone (what the heck external charger!!!) so there are no more photos from Sunday :( We did end up leaving early as the rain started up again on Sunday and we were dreading the everyone-leaving-the-festival rush on Monday morning so we decided to get a head start, and shared a taxi with a nice drunk man back to the train station. Unfortunately we missed the band that I wanted to see the most, Kaiser Chiefs who were one of my favourite bands when I was about 11, but I've seen them before so it wasn't that much of a big deal thankfully!

Thank you to CAT for sending us to Kendal we had so much fun and my CAT boots definitely served me well whilst I was there!!

MERMAID SWIMSUITS:MARGARITA SWIMWEAR

I have never been swimming in the sea before, its one of those things I've always thought is a little odd. I'm one of those type of people who thinks "ewwww seaweeddddddd" because lets face it, seaweed feels kinda gross when it gets tangled around your foot, so the idea of actually swimming through a load of it provokes images of extreme slimyness. It seems almost every beach in the UK I have visited is full of the stuff and it always puts me off the idea of going in the water, however last month we went to Salcome! I've been a few times before as its my moms favourite place in the UK but never before did I realise how clear and blue the water is. It actually looks like another country, and the water was so warm and the waves weren't particularly ferocious so after a while of "omg the water is so warm but idk if i want to submerge my upper body help nature!!!1!1!11!" myself and Jo decided to go change into our matching Margarita Swimwear Venus swimsuits. I am so excited to go back to Salcombe again when its super warm so I can go swimming! The only downside was that all my pink hair dye washed out of my hair where the saltwater got on it, now I know how to remove hair dye easily haha!

FRANK BODY SWEET CHEEKS COLLECTION (*sp)
CONTAINING THE:CREAMY FACE SCRUB - CREAMY FACE CLEANSER - EVERY DAY FACE MOISTURIZER

Ok so, the other day I received an email from Frank Bod and having seen their social media campaigns pretty much everywhere where social media is present, I thought I'd try it out! That and also I was fast running out of moisturiser and face scrub, and seeing as the ones I used previously weren't too fab, I thought it best to experiment with some new ones.

Firstly, I really like the packaging, the three products come in a cardboard tub with detailed leaflets explaining the contents of every product, about the ingredients and how you should use them. Secondly, every product looks like what I would expect it to (hazar!) and in terms of the cleanser, I was pleasantly surprised to find it was mid-grey in colour, this is due to the charcoal it contains. I was rather pleased as I've been using heat up charcoal face masks for a few months now and they really do help my skin, so I'm excited to see how using the cleanser works for me. I find I normally have to use a cleanser for around two months before I can decide on if its suitable for my face or not, so maybe I'll get back to you guys on that in October? Upon the first few uses though, its left my skin feeling cleansed but not super tight which is definitely a plus!

As for the scrub, it is super scrubby! I'm so pleased with the amount of scrubby-ness which is included (such vocab, much describe). Basically, the scrub is an extremely thick paste that smells of coffee. I love the smell of coffee so this was a mega plus for me. You basically rub it all over your face as demonstrated in the great photo of myself above, wait three minutes and then rinse away. I used a sponge to remove all of the scrub from my face. I thought it was quite a harsh consistency but I like it that way, it kind of feels like you're rubbing sand on your face. In the past I've used scrubs and thought is this really a scrub? which is the last thing you want to think when using a new face scrub aha! It left my face feeling super soft which I believe is the main objective of face scrubs, and I just rubbed some on my hand to examine it so I could better explain it to you guys and let me tell you my hand is now insanely soft. I think I'm definitely going to be adding this to my weekly face routine!

Finally I tired out the moisturiser, I don't have much experience in the way of moisturisers as I've only started to use them over the past year. This particular moisturiser is extremely silky and once applied to my face, sank in immediately and didn't leave behind any sticky residue (queue weird facebook message giant thumb suction noise). I hate it when moisturisers just sit on your skin and don't get absorbed, but luckily this does so I'll definitely be using it again!!

The last photo is my face expressing my frank opinion about Frank 8-)

The other day I received this really pretty vintage crochet top from Videdressing, I'm really into crochet at the moment as is, well, everyone, so it seems. I think its going to be very popular for quite a while so I'm going to wear it as much as possible until it becomes too cold to wear holey knitwear. Videdressing is a website that sells secondhand clothes by individual sellers, everything is presented with the background removed which I think makes it look more professional and clean which all together makes the website easier to look at and shop on, compared to other second hand websites I've been on in the past. They also have a huge luxury category full of vintage and second hand designer brands, which is a really good way to get your hands on some designer stuff. I noticed there are a lot of 90's/ early 2000's items available which are so cool right now! I spent a good hour scrolling through this section but decided to go with the crochet top anyway, although I did spy tons of sunglasses that I really want to add to my collection! I also really loved this Comme des Garçons baby blue tennis skirt, and then I realised I already have a baby blue tennis skirt, but Comme des Garçons!!!! I also really loved this Miu Miu skirt which is such a cute colour and looks very tennis-skirt-esque.

How cute is this plant crop top, I have acquired a small group of succulents over the past year and I feel this top represents that very well, also its very true that sometimes plants are better than people *thumbs up*. I've also invested in yet another pair of mom jeans, these ones are a slightly different colour and fit to the other pairs that I have which are quite baggy, these however I think are a cross between mom jeans and cigarette pants. In the photos I've rolled the cuff up but when its rolled down they look quite fitted at the ankle which I'm enjoying, they'd look really cute with flats, not that I really have many flat-flats.... like yknow... not with a platform, shock horror, shoes without platforms?? Never did I see such things.
